Branded Check In
There are countless third party check in and location based services including Foursquare , Facebook places, Gowalla , and many more. Retality Check In gives retail and restaurant companies the ability to add the functionality of check in services to their own mobile presence without relying on any one of these, but in fact leveraging all of them in a way that is consistent with their brand and customer experience.
Check In
With third party check in services, a check in means whatever best suits their business model. With Retality Check In, you can control the meaning if a check in. It can mean that a customer is in a location, or it can simply be a means of expressing interest – “I’m craving a burger”. Retality Check In gives you the ability to set the radius within which users can check in and the frequency with which they can check in. These settings give you valuable customer information that you can use to significantly improve local marketing for each location.
Mobile Coupons
Customers can receive coupons right on their mobile device. Retality Check In can track customer redemption rates, preferred offers, and the location in which the offer was redeemed. Redemption can be restricted by GPS radius.
Points and Leaderboard
With third party check in services, the service determines what points are awarded for each action – the incentives in the system – as well as the leaderboard and how it’s displayed – encourage certain behaviors that are beneficial to the check in service. With Retality Check In, you can control the incentives and the points associated with actions that are good for your consumer and your brand.
Badges
With third party check in services, venues can easily be tagged by any user resulting in unflattering badges being distributed to users who check into your venues. With Retality Check In, you control each badge, how they are earned and their value.
Venues
Unlike third party LBS, you can control what venues are added ensuring that customers are checking into the right ones avoiding confusion. With third party LBS, end users can set up whatever location they like. For more information on managing your venue information on third party services (Google , Facebook , Foursquare ), see our venue management services.
Friends
Privacy is one concern that users have about using location-based check in services. Because of this, Retality Check In does not by default broadcast a users location on the internet. For users that do want to share their location, we provide integration to Facebook , Foursquare and other services so users can broadcast their location and other information to their friends. We can also provide additional points to users who are willing to tell their network about your store or restaurant.
Referral
People are becoming hesitant to ‘spam’ others with their location on social networks. However, sharing great offers with friends to encourage them to try a new place is something people are excited to do. Retality Check in allows you to provide an offer which users can forward to a limited set of friends. For example, you can give users 5 free burgers to send to their friends. If the offers are redeemed, you can reward the sender with points or other items.
Analytics
Third party location based services are trying to build their own brand and scale for one primary reason – information – information that they can sell to competitors and other marketers. They are collecting information on your customers, how often they visit, who are your best customers, who are customers you’ve lost and to some degree can tell if your business is doing well or not at any given moment. Retality Check In allows you to collect this data on your own business and use it to drive sales and marketing efforts.
